Categories and classification methods of acrylic

1. Acrylic board is divided into casting board and Extrusion board according to production process. According to transmittance, it can be divided into transparent board, translucent board (including dyeing board transparent board), color board (including black and white and color board); according to performance, it can be divided into impact board, anti-ultraviolet board, ordinary board and special board such as high impact board, flame retardant board, abrasive board, metal effect board, high wear-resistant board, light guide board, etc.

A: Casting board: high molecular weight, excellent stiffness, strength and chemical resistance. Therefore, it is more suitable for processing large-sized plaques, which takes a little longer than the softening process. This kind of sheet is characterized by small batch processing, incomparable flexibility in color system and surface texture effect, and complete product specifications, practical for various special purposes.

B: Extrusion board: Compared with cast board, Extrusion board has lower molecular weight, weaker mechanical properties and higher flexibility. However, this feature is conducive to bending and hot forming, and the softening time is short. It is advantageous to all kinds of rapid vacuum suction moulding when dealing with large-sized sheets. At the same time, the thickness tolerance of extrusion plate is smaller than that of casting plate. Because the extrusion plate is a mass automatic production, the color and specifications are inconvenient to adjust, so the product specifications diversity is limited.

2. Acrylic recycling board is a kind of recycled acrylic edge material. After thermal degradation, regenerated MMA (methyl methacrylate) monomer is obtained, which is then obtained by chemical polymerization. Pure MMA monomers can be obtained after strict process flow, and there is no difference in quality between new synthetic monomers and pure MMA monomers. However, the degradable monomers produced are not of high purity. After forming, the quality and performance of the sheets are very poor.

Summary: The extrusion plate uses granular material and is extruded after high temperature dissolution, while the casting plate is directly cast with MMA monomer (liquid). Although the extrusion plate is smooth and smooth in shape, it can be polymerized when granular material is formed. It is not suitable for outdoor marking products because of its weak structure and performance, but for indoor products such as crystal words or product brackets. In addition, because most of the extruded sheets do not have anti-ultraviolet function, their outdoor service life is different from that of the cast sheet, and the color fades gradually and is easy to embrittle until it breaks down. Cast slab is a kind of structural aggregation in the process of plate processing, during which ultraviolet absorbent is added. It has very high strength and UV function. Its outdoor service life is more than 5 years or even 10 years, and its color has been bright and new during use.
