New Technology of Acrylic Sign

In recent years, the number of licensing signs in acrylic system has been increasing in China.

Along with the diversification of the market, the importance of this measure is gradually reflected by the way that enterprise information is transmitted to consumers through signboards. Especially, it is becoming more and more important for some night-time shops operating 24 hours to publicize and enhance the image and popularity of enterprises by using inside-license signs.

With the popularity of Acrylic signs, the era of pursuing perfect quality of signs has arrived.

Why use acrylic resin? It has the best weatherability in plastic materials. As a characteristic of resin, it is superior to PC and PET materials. Even after 20 years of outdoor use, it can maintain about 90% strength. It can be heated and formed at will. It can be used for various three-dimensional shape shaping. It can be recycled after use.

Environmentally friendly resins for the earth's environment. General acrylic signboards (stickers) paste the formed opalescent board on the formed color board. (or pasting the color board on the formed milky white board) There are some problems in the pasting method: the color board and the milky white board are formed separately the engineering is complex. Although it can produce monochrome text, it can not express the multicolored sense of hierarchy. If the printed sheet is used to form, only one-time forming is needed, and through colorful printing, rich and colorful visual effects can be obtained.

Acrylic signboards with different printing methods are printed on transparent substrates on the back of transparent acrylic boards, and eventually in Milky white.  Use milky white substrate to print on the surface of milky white acrylic board.

In order to make better use of the weatherproof properties of acrylic sheet, the use of transparent substrates can achieve the most satisfactory results. Acrylic signboards with different printing methods can also be printed in the same style as those with stickers.

1. Use acrylic sheets (such as continuous casting sheets) with stable physical properties and thickness.

2. Use the automatic vacuum forming machine to keep the forming under the same conditions.

Procedure of Printing Forming Method

1. Measuring the expansion and contraction of acrylic sheet during moulding

2. Draw the measuring grid on the acrylic board and then shape it to grasp the expansion and contraction of some part of the acrylic board.

3. Make the printing plate with reference to the expansion rate and print it.

4. Confirm the forming position and place the acrylic plate in the automatic forming machine.

5. Forming finished products.

Energy Conservation of Signboards

Internal signs generally use fluorescent lamps to emit light. From the point of view of the greenhouse of the earth's temperature, the number of fluorescent lamps should be reduced as much as possible.

If the number of fluorescent lamps of existing signboards is reduced, the brightness of the signboards will be low and dim, which will deviate from the wishes of transmitting enterprise information to consumers. The number of fluorescent lamps can be reduced without changing the appearance of the signboard.

Effect of Reflector

Reduce 2 fluorescent lamps with reflective film, and the brightness will remain unchanged. The homogeneity has been improved.

Design of Acrylic Resin Signboard

When designing acrylic signboard, the allowable stress of non-destructive signboard is generally 14.7 MPa under normal operating conditions. (If the failure stress is 75 MPa, there is about five times the safety rate.)

Considering fully the thickness, shape, fixing method, wind pressure design and other factors of the signboard, the maximum part of the stress should be designed below 14.7 MPa.

Strength calculation method

When encountering the simplified design, it can be calculated by referring to the contents of the relevant reference books on material mechanics.

When encountering complex design, we can use computer and structure analysis software to calculate.

When the front wind speed is 60 m/sec, the signboard is made of 3 mm thick 1300 *2000 mm acrylic board.
