Advantages of Acrylic Plate Color Card Products

1. hardness:

Hardness is one of the most important parameters reflecting the production process and technology of casting acrylic board, and it is also an important part of quality control. Hardness can reflect the purity of raw material MMA, weatherability and high temperature resistance. Hardness directly affects whether the sheet will shrink and bend, and whether the surface will crack during processing. Hardness is one of the hardness indexes to judge the quality of acrylic board. The imported acrylic board produced by our company has the highest hardness index of the same products in China at present. The average Dallow hardness is about 89 degrees.

2. Thickness tolerance:

The control of thickness tolerance of sheet metal is an important embodiment of quality management and production technology. The thickness tolerance of acrylic plate poured with imported material is controlled within + 0.2mm.

3. Transparency/whiteness:

Strict raw material selection, advanced formulation follow-up and modern production process to ensure excellent transparency and whiteness of the sheet. Flame polishing is brilliant and translucent.

Matters needing attention

1. Acrylic plate should not be co-existing with other organic solvents, let alone contact with organic solvents.

2. Surface protective film or paper should not be scratched during transportation.

3. Cannot be used in environments where the temperature is over 85 degrees Celsius.

4. When cleaning acrylic board, only 1% soap water should be used, soap water should be dipped with soft cotton cloth, and no hard or dry rubbing should be used, otherwise the surface will be easily scratched.

5. The coefficient of thermal and cold expansion of acrylic sheet is very large. Due to the change of temperature, the reserved expansion room should be considered.

Acrylic board and plexiglass

"Organic Glass" comes from English organic Glass. In recent years, in some areas, all transparent plastic sheets are collectively referred to as plexiglass. Actually, this is wrong. Acrylic refers to pure polymethyl methacrylate (PMMA) materials, while PMMA sheets are called acrylic sheets.

Characteristics and Advantages of Acrylic Plate

Acrylic has a high transparency and transmittance of 92%. It has the reputation of plastic crystal. And it has excellent weather resistance, especially for outdoor applications, ranking the top of other plastics, and has good surface hardness and luster, processing plasticity, can be made into a variety of required shapes and products. In addition, there are many kinds of plates with rich colors (including translucent color plates), and another feature is that thick plates can still maintain high transparency.

The History of Acrylic

Acrylic (ACRYLIC), commonly known as specially treated plexiglass. Acrylic research and development has a history of more than 100 years. Polymerization of acrylic acid was first discovered in 1872; polymerization of methacrylic acid was known in 1880; synthesis of propylene polypropionate was completed in 1901; industrialization was attempted in 1927 with the above synthesis method; and industrial manufacture of methyl ester was successfully developed in 1937, which led to large-scale manufacture. During World War II, acrylic has excellent toughness and transparency. Firstly, it was applied to the windshield of aircraft and the visual field mirror of the driver's cab of tank. The birth of the world's first acrylic bathtub in 1948 marks a new milestone in the application of acrylic bathtub.
