Acrylic Chemical Properties

Chemical resistance:

1. Sulfuric acid 60% to safety

2. Hydrochloric acid 30% to safety

3. Nitric acid 20% to safety

4. Dissolution of acetic acid

5. Hydrogen fluoride water is inviolable

6. Caustic Sodium 50% to Safety

7. Ammonia 18% to safety

8. Ammonia 28% to safety

9. Chlorine water turns dark

10. Very late Brown iodine water

Solubility:

Non-intrusive at room temperature:

Ethane, octane and petroleum (40% formaldehyde and ethylene glycol with a small amount of aromatics) do not produce blurred marks.

Difficult to dissolve at room temperature but can cause expansion or shortcomings:

Butanol, isopropanol, carbon tetrachloride

Soluble at room temperature:

Bing Ketone, Benzene, Toluene, Carbon Dichloride, Imitation, Ethyl Acetate

Precautions for Acrylic Plate:

1. For cracks: because the surface is smooth and hardness is equal to that of aluminium, surface protection should be paid attention to when taking and releasing. In case of damage, polishing with an abrasive used for yellow aluminium will restore the original beautiful surface.

2. For wiping: because there is static electricity when the surface is rubbed by dry cloth, when there is dust on the surface, it can be cleaned lightly with soft cloth with 1% concentrated soapy water.

3. For temperature: the sheet is softened when heated or heated to more than 100 degrees Celsius, so it should be avoided to use above 100 degrees Celsius.

4. For thermal expansion: acrylic glass has a large coefficient of thermal expansion, and its degree of expansion is about several times that of metals. When installing or fixing, the room for expansion should be considered when the temperature changes.
